First Bradley, Now Leo Gets an Awkward Red Carpet Crotch Hug

Leonardo DiCaprio couldn't help but laugh when a man ran over and hugged his crotch when he attended the Santa Barbara Film Festival in California on Thursday. The actor got grabbed by notorious Ukranian prankster/crotch hugger Vitalii Sediuk, who recently pulled this stunt on Leo's friend Bradley Cooper at the SAG Awards. We guess Vitalii must be seeing the similarities between Bradley and Leo too!

Leo and his frequent collaborator and The Wolf of Wall Street director, Martin Scorsese, were at the festival to be honored with the Vanguard Award. Leo's costar Jonah Hill was also at the event, although he didn't get attacked for a crotch hug during his time on the red carpet. We guess there's always time for that at the Oscars! Keep reading to see Bradley's SAGs incident and Leo's effortless way of handling the prankster.

Jared Leto Defends His Dallas Buyers Club Performance

Jared Leto was caught off guard at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Wednesday when a heckler surprised him and challenged him for his critically acclaimed role in Dallas Buyers Club.

Jared Leto was caught off guard at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Wednesday when a heckler surprised him and challenged him for his critically acclaimed role in Dallas Buyers Club. "You will never be Rayon," the audience member said, referring to Jared's transgender character in the film. When Jared asked the heckler to elaborate on the comment, she said: "Trans misogyny does not deserve an award . . . you don't deserve an award for portraying a trans woman, because you're a man."

One might react to this attack with anger and frustration, but Jared's response was calm, intelligent, and articulate. "Because I'm a man, I don't deserve to play that part? So you would hold a role against someone who happened to be gay or lesbian? They can't play a straight part?" Jared continued, highlighting the opposite side of the issue. "Then you make sure that people that are gay, people that aren't straight, people like the Rayons of the world would never have the opportunity to turn the tables and explore parts that aren't central to who they are." Check out the moment in its entirety above.

Cate Blanchett Celebrates Another Win With Rooney Mara

Cate Blanchett is on a winning streak. She was awarded outstanding performer of the year for her work in Blue Jasmine at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in California on Saturday. This honor comes after three straight big awards in a row, winning at the Golden Globes, Critics' Choice Awards, and SAG Awards. Her next exciting stop will be the Oscars in March, where she's up for best actress yet again. At the SBFF, friend and upcoming costar Rooney Mara presented Cate with her award. The two are set to start work on Carol soon, a film set in 1950s New York in which a department store clerk who dreams of a better life (Rooney) falls for an older, married woman (Cate).

However, Cate's weekend wasn't all positive. When asked about Woody Allen's daughter Dylan Farrow's open letter about her alleged abuse, she responded, "I mean, it's obviously been a long and painful situation for the family, and I hope they find some sort of resolution and peace."

Matt Damon Helps Honor Ben Affleck as a Modern Master

Ben Affleck was honored with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival's modern master award last night. He ventured to the city along with his best friend Matt Damon. Ben sat for a Q&A session moderated by Leonard Maltin before the nighttime ceremony, where Matt had the honor of introducing Ben to the crowd. Matt said of Ben, "[He's] undeniably two things — my very old friend and a very young master." Ben walked onto the stage, and the childhood pals embraced. Later, Ben and Matt relaxed and chatted with mini bottles of Moët & Chandon in hand. It's been a good week for Matt and Ben togetherness, since they also had a play fight when Matt took over Jimmy Kimmel's show Thursday.
